Round table “Electromagnetic Fields and Health”

The Scientific Advisory Committee on Radio Frequencies and Health –CCARS - has been present in the 8th edition of the Madrid Science Week.
A member of the Committee, José Luis Sebastián, directed two events, a workshop and a roundtable, on electromagnetic fields and health; these were held in the Faculty of Physics of the Complutense University de Madrid, where Mr Sebastián is Professor of Electricity and Magnetism. The workshop called “Electromagnetic Fields and Health” was held on 18 November.
The roundtable, held in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Physics on 20 November, was also attended by the Committee members Manuel Desco, Mercedes Martínez, Francisco Vargas and Patricia Crespo. The participants in the roundtable provided a description of the current state of science with regard to radio frequencies and health before an audience which showed great interest in this subject. After giving the presentations, a roundtable was held in which the audience’s main doubts on the issue were clarified.
